Replace or Renovate your building flooring surfaces? - 28 April 2008

In today's tight economic climate your options can now be limited when having to renew / renovate your flooring surface.

Any building renovation has to be carefully costed and the performance of the finishing surfaces, especially the flooring is crucial to the economic success / life-cycle of the building.
Choosing a floor that is going to last and keeps your revenue stream flowing during installation and beyond is of real importance.
Change of use in a building can lead to higher specification requirements from your flooring surface. A cleaner environment with anti-slip or anti-static properties may now be required.

Do you completely replace the current surface or do you refurbish the area?
Can you afford the disruption total floor removal will cause?
How long will you be in this building?
Can you see the area increasing in size at a later date?

Modular floors available from Tact Enviro prove their worth for renovation projects. These modular floors can refurbish the entire floor or just local areas of wear. The fact this type of floor can be laid whilst production continues or overnight when the facility is closed are further benefits to the building owner.
The cost savings and the great looks of modular floors all contribute to taking a wise decision.
Removal of old vinyl or plastic sheet flooring with glue adhesion can be very damaging to the concrete sub-floor. This can prove very time consuming and costly - better to install a modular flooring system.
Old ceramic tile surfaces are very dirty, noisy and again time consuming to uplift and remove.
Epoxy coated / painted floors can be ground off and re-coated, but again this is a long costly unenvironmentally friendly procedure.

Some warehouse floors have asphalt surfacing laid. With age and forklift traffic wear the surface can break out in ever increasing holes. A modular system will rapidly turn these dangerous floor holes into safe, healthy surfaces able to take the punishing regime of forklifts.
Natural floor movement and concrete slab edge tilting can prove problematic; Tact can repair with feather edging epoxy mortars and lay a new modular surface over the entire area. Surface cracking and scabbling can be repaired and a new modular surface quickly laid. Please enquire for our Industrial Specification chart.

Bare concrete can be readily sealed with Tact OptiRepair coatings to prevent dusting and resist chemical attack. TactTiles can be laid quickly over this clean hygienic floor. This system is ideal for shower and changing room floor surfacing – please ask for a Leisure Area Specification chart.

Industrial, Commercial, Retail or Domestic clients all benefit from the use of Tact flooring surfaces. With the ever increasing range of specialist flooring products from Tact Enviro they can meet your most stringent requirements.

Still in quandary as to what surface to select – please ask for Tact Floor Buyers Selection Chart.
This Floor Buyers Chart is a simple tool which quantifies and completely evaluates your flooring requirements empowering you to make the very best professional and considered flooring choice.
