Lagune is an interlocking wet area mat system which is an ideal way of covering large or irregular areas. Lagune is suitable for swimming pool surrounds, showers, spas, saunas and changing rooms. The unique design allows water to drain off easily, providing a slip resistant, safe and dry surface. Lagune is warm and comfortable and ideal with barefoot traffic. The modular tiles can be assembled in a variety of designs and shapes. The tiles are connected with hidden interlocking connectors which are simple to fit together. Once assembled, the matting can be rolled up for ease of cleaning underneath.

Hygienic

Lagune is treated with an anti-microbial additive for protection against the growth of mould, mildew, fungi and odour-causing germs. Lagune is designed to prevent the development and growth of bacteria and it is resistant to body oils and chemicals.

Surface Construction

Lagune offers exceptional drainage and comfort all in a modular mat. The curved design of the surface assists immediate drainage whilst the unbacked construction allows the water to pass through the mat, providing a safe and dry surface. The soft and resilient non-slip knobs on the surface of the mat provide comfortable cushioning for bare feet.

Is lagune mat suitable for outdoor swimming pool area, laid on top of wood decking? Thankyou

Good day to you Mark - thank you for your valued enquiry.

The problem with a wooden surface with water on the top it is slippery and with lagune matting being flexible it can readily squirm away on top of wet timbers and cause a further slip hazard. TactTiles on the other hand are either cut to fit to the decking / rails and / or screwed down to the timbers.

Therefore TactTiles will provide the safest surface here - either Briq or Piazza - how much foot traffic does this timber area get?
